Any StreamBBA (Hons) in Business Skills & Innovation is a four-year, eight semester programme with interdisciplinary approach. The curriculum equips future business leaders with the skill sets to start, run expand and diversify their own businesses.
Our curriculum is co-designed with Businessmen; focuses on Business Skills and Innovations, while enhancing the soft & hard skills with the right exposure to real life business. The objective is to ensure students are ready for tomorrow’s challenges by creating Whole Brain Change Makers - business leaders, creative thinkers and socially conscious citizens who will strive to create changes in the industry and society.
Since Gujarat is the land of businessmen it is high time that we came up with an academic program that would cater to the specific needs of those students who would want to join their own business, expand the current business, diversify their existing business or start off a new venture of their own. The program has to equip students with the skills that would help them succeed as a businessman not only in traditional industries but also in the new age MSMEs and IT sector. They will develop expertise in various facets of business, whether it is hiring talent, raising funds, managing finance and other resources or taking advantage of market opportunities, focusing on customer satisfaction or overcoming many other challenges that may come up unannounced. In short, the program would build capabilities that would enable one to become a successful businessman.
Dr. Ravichandran, ex-director of IIM Indore and a retired professor from IIM Ahmedabad and a globally known strategic advisor to many business houses has curated a unique four year’s bachelor’s program in business management that takes care of all the requirements of building a career as a businessman. The program entails exposure to almost all personal and professional skills required to succeed in community and business. It also involves cross-sectoral and cross-cultural practical exposure to businesses both in India and abroad in the second, third and fourth years of the program.
Students are exposed to varied courses in the areas of Natural Science, Social Science, Humanities and Computational subjects. The idea to enable students to learn from diverse disciplines, develop a broad understanding and base for a strong foundation in liberal studies domain. Rural immersion program, live projects, industry engagement activities & sessions ensures learning through practical experience and exposure.
The curriculum will focus on Business Skills & Innovation while enhancing the soft & hard skills with the right exposure to real life business. The blend of liberal education with business skills will ensure that students are ready for tomorrow’s challenges. Regular bootcamps, workshops and simulation exercises with incubation support will equip future business leaders with the required skill sets.
